HOW TO GET TO TIGRE


By Train

The city of Tigre has two railway stations: Tigre Station (Mitre Line, 'Linea Mitre') Delta Station (Coastal Train, 'Tren de la Costa')

  • RETIRO-TIGRE

    (Direct service from Buenos Aires, Retiro-Tigre branch) Trains to Tigre depart from Retiro Station, Mitre Line, platforms 1 or 2. It takes around 50 minutes to get to Tigre.

  • RETIRO-DELTA

    (Service with connection at Mitre Station, at Maipú Coastal Train Station) To make the connection with 'Tren de la Costa,' the trains to Mitre depart from the Retiro Station, Mitre Line, usually from platforms 3 or 4.

    Then, from the Mitre Station you must cross the bridge that is located over Av. Maipú, which leads to the Maipú Station of the Coastal Train where you can take the train to Delta Station, in the city of Tigre.

By Bus

  • NUMBER 60 BUS

    It begins in the Constitución neighborhood in Buenos Aires City and takes about an hour and a half to reach Tigre. The fastest service has a green sign with the word ‘PANAMERICANA’ (it takes the highway).

  • NUMBER 343 BUS

    It departs from Liniers in Buenos Aires City. It has two possible branches that end their route in the 'Puerto de Frutos' in Tigre.

  • NUMBER 21 BUS

    It departs from Liniers in the City Buenos Aires City. It has two possible branches that end their route on Luis García street and Av. Dardo Rocha or Lavalle street and the Sacriste bridge.


By Car

The fastest access to Tigre is via the Autopista del Sol highway. The travel time is about 30 minutes. To get to Tigre you must follow the signs heading north that indicate North Access 'Acceso Norte' and then the Tigre branch, known as 'Ramal Tigre'.

  • FROM BUENOS AIRES

    On the border with Greater Buenos Aires, take 'Autopista General Paz' highway and then the 'Autopista del Sol' highway 'Panamericana Acceso Norte'. In San Isidro, take the Tigre branch, 'Ramal Tigre;' at the end the highway bifurcates, and veer east to reach downtown Tigre, 'Tigre Centro'.

  • FROM LA PLATA

    Take 'Autopista La Plata-Buenos Aires' highway, continue along the 'Autopista 25 de Mayo' highway and then the 'Autopista Perito Moreno' highway to 'Av. General Paz.' Take 'General Paz' highway in the direction of 'Rio de la Plata' and then take the 'Autopista del Sol' highway 'Panamericana Acceso Norte'. In San Isidro, take the Tigre branch, 'Ramal Tigre'; at the end the highway bifurcates, and veer east to reach downtown Tigre, 'Tigre Centro'.

  • FROM THE WEST

    – Via 'Acceso Oeste', to 'Av. General Paz'; then take General Paz in the direction of Río de la Plata, and subsequently take 'Autopista del Sol' highway 'Panamericana Acceso Norte'. In San Isidro, take the Tigre branch, 'Ramal Tigre'; at the end the highway bifurcates, and veer east to reach downtown Tigre, 'Tigre Centro'.

    – Via 'Av. Camino del Buen Ayre', to 'Autopista del Sol' 'Panamericana Acceso Norte', cross it and take Uruguay street until you reach the Tigre branch, 'Ramal Tigre’; at the end the highway bifurcates, and veer east to reach downtown Tigre, 'Tigre Centro'.

  • FROM ROSARIO

    Take 'Ruta 9' to Buenos Aires. In Benavídez, get off on ‘Ruta 27’ towards Tigre. The travel time is about 18 km to downtown Tigre.
